The boy, Hüseyin el-Hasan, is a refugee who has compassion for animals.  One day, he discovered a dog on the side of the road who had been hit by a car…

An 8-year-old boy from war-torn Syria named Hüseyin el-Hasan did something amazing for a dog that inspired the entire community, and now, his actions are inspiring everyone in the world…

The boy lives as a refugee in an adoptive home in the city of Kilis, Turkey.  One day he noticed a dog had been struck by a car and was laying on the side of the road.  He brought the dog a blanket from his home to help soothe the shivering dog.  The dog was later picked up and brought to a veterinarian…

Sadly, the dog died soon after due to complications from injuries suffered during the crash.  Hasan may not have been able to save the dog, however, Turkey recognized his kind nature.  It didn’t matter that he came from a war-torn country, the love in his heart still prevailed.  The mayor of the city later visited Hasan to recognize what he did.  While this act may seem small to some, it’s important to keep in mind that not every culture thinks or believes in the same virtues.
