They Rescue a Homeless ‘Mother’ Cat with Her Kittens – Then Realize What She Really Is

Stories of abandonment are common with cats and dogs.  Sometimes owners can’t afford to care for a litter of puppies or kittens, and they decide to ditch the entire family on the side of the road instead of making an effort to ask for help.  It’s more shameful to ditch a family than to ask for help.

The Homeless Animal Adoption League in Bloomfield, New Jersey went out of their way to help the family of abandoned cats.  The caller told them the cats were abandoned in East Orange on the side of the road.

Whey they arrived at the scene, the mother and her kittens were there in the rain.  There were six kittens in total.  Once the vet had a chance to look the mother and her kittens over, he experienced a huge shock!

When the team at Homeless Animal Adoption League in Bloomfield, NJ received a call about an abandoned family of cats, they rushed over to help.

The adoption group usually doesn’t perform street rescues, but luckily, they were close enough to put forth the extra effort for the abandoned cats.

The cats warmed right up to the rescuers and allowed them to bring them back to the shelter.  The vet examined everyone to make sure they were okay, and that’s when he made a startling discovery…
