Whether it's for drug charges, assault, disorderly conduct, or something much worse, we can't help but pour over the details when a star falls from grace.
From Justin Bieber's DUI to Nicki Minaj's illegal possession of a firearm, we think you'll find our list of the hottest celebrity mugshots to be entertaining reading. We intentionally excluded high-profile murder cases and situations where someone was seriously injured. After all, this list is supposed to make you laugh, not gasp or cry!
So, without further ado, here's our list of the 25 hottest celebrity mugshots they wish would just go away...
Back in 2014, Justin Bieber had been making headlines for some seriously questionable behavior for a while at that point — so it didn't come as a surprise when TMZ first reported that the young star had been arrested.
But his mugshot was truly beyond belief! If he was at all upset about being charged with DUI and resisting arrest, you'd never have known it from the smiling face, beaming eyes, and thousand watt smile in that photo. Justin later settled the case by paying a fine.
Before she was famous, Nicki Minaj was arrested in 2003 for criminal possession of a firearm. Back then she went by Onika Tanya Maraj, and in case you were wondering — yes, the incident happened while she was a hostess at Red Lobster.
According to the ten-time Grammy nominee, "Shellfish can make you do crazy things."
Back in 2010, the king of uptown funk was arrested after he was found with a bag of cocaine in a bathroom at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel.
"I was young, man!" he said in 2016. "I was in fucking Vegas. I wasn't thinking." Although the charges were eventually dismissed, Mars also confirmed that the incident serves as a reminder that "it can all be taken away."
And up next, we've got one of the hottest blonde bombshells on the planet arguing and fighting with the police. We'll give you a hint who it is — she told the officer he couldn't tell her what to do on "American ground..."
As far as celebrity mugshots go, Reese's isn't as iconic as say, Justin Bieber's, but her arrest was in a class all it's own. No one will ever forget her meme-worthy catchphrase: "This is beyond!"
In 2013, Reese and her husband were pulled over in Atlanta after their vehicle was seen driving in the wrong lane. Reese would have been just fine if she had not gotten out of the car and started arguing with the cops! Apparently, Reese, they can tell you what to do on "American ground."
She was arrested for disorderly conduct at the scene.
The youngest Kardashian sister was arrested back in March of 2007 for DUI and later was sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating her probation. She ended up serving less than three hours due to overcrowding.
Both sister Kim and mom Kris have framed photos of Khloé's mugshot prominently displayed in their homes.
Just before he exploded into the collective consciousness with his debut album Room for Squares, Mayer was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
John eventually offered to donate $25,000 to charity if TMZ could turn up the 2001 mugshot. The celebrity news show found it, as did the Smoking Gun, so John donated $12,500 in each of their names to two different animal charities.
It's probably safe to say that everyone remembers when living legend Michael Phelps was arrested in Baltimore for DUI back in 2014. After pleading guilty, the olympian (who's won a staggering 23 gold medals) received a suspended sentence and probation.
"I was in a really dark place," he said of the arrest. "I didn't want to be alive anymore."
And next, we've got one of the Backstreet Boys and his 2016 relapse that shattered his "Mr. Recovery," do-gooder image...
Like most of the celebs on our list, the youngest Backstreet Boy was arrested for DUI. Carter completed a three-month alcohol treatment program and since 2005, has volunteered his time with recovery-oriented charities.
However, he fell "off the wagon" in 2016 and was arrested again in Florida after getting into an altercation outside a bar. Hang in there Nick!
Long before he was known as the Lord and one of the most popular reality show personalities on the planet, Scott Disick was arrested for driving while intoxicated back in 2001. The 18-year-old pled guilty and was sentenced to probation and community service.
In 2014, his sister-in-law Khloé Kardashian shared his mugshot via Instagram as part of her happy birthday message to him.
And speaking of Kardashians...
Shortly after she began dating Rob Kardashian, Blac Chyna was arrested for public intoxication in Texas, much to the chagrin of Rob's mom Kris.
She was also charged with felony drug possession after authorities found several tablets of ecstasy in her purse. As a result of some crafty legal maneuvering, the charges were eventually dropped.
Although Mean Girls queen Lindsay Lohan has more than six mugshots to choose from, we decided in the interest of good web design to only showcase the six most flattering.
In 2007, she garnered her most serious arrest for DUI and cocaine possession. For that incident, she was sentenced to one day in jail and three years probation. After violating the terms of that agreement, Lohan was sentenced to additional jail time, but only spent 14 hours behind bars. And in a subsequent incident, she was released after serving a paltry four hours due to overcrowding.
Up next, this is by far our favorite entry on the list — mostly because of the virtual pharmacy this iconic actress had in her purse...
If you weren't living underneath a rock back in 2001, you definitely remember this one — you might even have a "Free Winona" t-shirt hidden someplace in the back of your closet. And while her actual mugshot was unavailable, this candid from the ensuing courtroom drama that unfolded subsequently is pretty telling.
The '80s icon was arrested after shoplifting more than $5,000 worth of merchandise from a Beverly Hills Saks Fifth Avenue. At her trial, she was sentenced to probation and community service. At the time of her arrest, police found numerous hardcore drugs in her purse — including liquid Demerol, Vicodin, Morphine, Valium, and 8 other powerful narcotics.
Back in 2010, Gossip Girl star Chase Crawford was arrested for possession of marijuana.
His lawyers struck a fabulous plea deal that effectively erased the charge from his record once he completed certain community service requirements. His dapper mugshot remains one of the finest examples on our list.

In yet another legendary tale of celebrity misadventure, Matthew McConaughey was arrested in 1999 after his police responded to a noise complaint.
Cops found the star naked and playing the bongo drums at his Austin home. He was detained for marijuana possession and resisting arrest, although the pot charge was eventually dropped.
"What’s wrong with beating on your drums in your birthday suit?" Matthew said of incident in 2016.
In 1995, beloved actor Hugh Grant was arrested after receiving oral sex in his car from a prostitute named Divine Brown. He was placed on probation and received a fine, whereas Brown was sentenced to 180 days in jail.
"Don't let that English accent fool you," Brown told TMZ. "He's nasty as they come."

Although this Simple Life star has been arrested more than once, it's this ridiculously glam mugshot that always comes to mind.
Paris was first arrested in 2006 for DUI, and then again in 2007 for driving with a suspended license. A judge famously sentenced her to 45 days in jail for violating her probation, but she stayed in the clink less than a week, finishing out the remainder of her sentence at home.
Paris's Simple Life partner-in-crime Nicole Richie also had some legal trouble back in the day. This mugshot is from her 2006 DUI arrest.
Officers pulled her over in California after she was seen driving the wrong way on the highway. Like Paris, Nicole was sentenced to jail, but her stay lasted a whopping 82 minutes due to overcrowding.
And since we're doing all the hot blondes from the 2000s, we might as well wrap it up with this fan favorite from The O.C...
Back in 2007, shortly after The O.C. ended for good, Mischa Barton was arrested for DUI in West Hollywood. She was later sentenced to three years of probation, which she successfully completed.
"We thought, 'Work hard, play hard,'" she said of that time in her life. "I've learned a lot. I'm stronger now."
After an anonymous tipster informed police in 2007 that R&B innovator T-Pain was driving with a suspended license, a warrant was issued for his arrest. He surrendered himself and was released on his own recognizance.
Then, in 2018, a loaded handgun was found in his luggage at an Atlanta airport. He was fined $200 after being booked in and out of jail.
In 2012, the iconic Fiona Apple was arrested in Texas and, predictably, gave us a mugshot for the history books. The Grammy Award winner was popped in Sierra Blanca after police found hashish on her tour bus.
Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg have both been arrested in Sierra Blanca, which is 30 miles from the Mexican border and home to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection checkpoint.
The actor who played Kevin McCallister in Home Alone was pulled over in 2004 while driving through Oklahoma City. There he was arrested for possession of marijuana and a small assortment of prescription drugs.
He received a suspended prison sentence and paid a small fine.
Orange Is the New Black star Natasha Lyonne better be careful or she's going to actually end up in an orange jumpsuit! After being arrested for DUI in 2001, Lyonne struggled with addiction and was arrested a second time for harassing her neighbors.
"I was definitely as good as dead," she said. "People really rallied around me and pulled me up by my fucking bootstraps. I got some help, but it wasn't easy."
Like many former child stars, Shia LaBeouf has had more than his fair share of run-ins with the law. This particular mugshot is from his 2017 arrest for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct in Savannah, Georgia.
According to police documents, the "disorderly" behavior began when no one would bum him a cigarette.
Fast and Furious star Michelle Rodriguez was arrested in 2005 for DUI in Hawaii, but this mugshot is from 2007, when she entered jail for violating her probation.
She served 18 days of her 180-day sentence due to overcrowding. Are we starting to notice a pattern here?
Wiz Khalifa was arrested in 2014 after TSA agents found a small stash of some "killer weed" in his bag at a Texas airport.
However, the police apparently didn't take his iPhone away — because he managed to tweet a selfie from jail!
