It Was a Normal Safari Until a Photographer Spotted One of the Rarest Animals on Earth

African safaris are the best way to truly experience what life is like in the wild.  People from all over the world travel to Africa to see rare animals in nature.  Remember the guy who had a cheetah jump in his jeep?  Yeah, that was crazy!

A baby albino elephant!  It’s estimated that only 1 of every 10,000 mammals on earth is albino.  Usually, albino animals are captured for analyzation.  This little baby slipped through the cracks…


It can be hard for albino animals to be accepted by the rest of the herd because they look so much different.  This was surely a once-in-a-lifetime sighting!  Keep reading for more interesting info!

Coertze told Daily Mail, “I took some lovely shots of the pink elephant. Some of the shots show it framed by the legs of another elephant, you can really see the contrast in color between the two as the calf shows off its unique pinkness beautifully.”

It’s nice to see that this herd of elephants didn’t reject the albino baby!
