Some people, or some dogs, have it harder than others. Snowflake, a young Shar-pei puppy, had it really hard. Snowflake was found behind a dumpster in Bakersfield, California and was incredibly cold and dehydrated.
It all started when Snowflake’s previous owner tried to sell her on Craigslist for a paltry $10. Some people should never be pet owners. After getting zero responses from the ad, poor Snowflake was abandoned behind a dumpster.
Snowflake was taken to a vet where they found her body temperature was an unacceptable 94 degrees and that she needed fluids. After being given the care she needed and deserved, Snowflake began to make full recovery.
Snowflake was taken to a foster home so that she can prepare for her potential permanent home. In foster care she was socialized and taught that there were better ways to play than with her sharp teeth. She even made friends with an older dog named Massie.
